A serial number index would be an obvious addition to this. I remember there be...

Re: Ebay prices getting out of hand

Are these changes due to come, as currently it states 12.8% private and variable for business, but usually around 10%? If private, eBay regularly do free listing weekends. Currently they have free listings for two months. I wonder if the volume of sellers listing has dropped due to costs and the £10...

So machines links to pictures on this thread, not sure if the below has already been shown, but I love this, a station I used every day for nearly 37 years, Liverpool Street Station. I believe 1952… They even have bath facilities. :HaHa: A long row of vending machines…

Just spotted this picture of Hammersmith Underground station 1933….

There is a slightly different machine on second pillar with what looks like a mirror in the middle

Re: Rotating escalator Aristocrat Tic Tac Toe

I wouldn’t get stressed about top badge as so many got mixed up and people often post on here with Grosvenor machines with Nevada badges… At least it is in good condition as they're often cracked.

Re: Rotating escalator Aristocrat Tic Tac Toe

Three things, the white plastic has replaced the original black plastic that had awards on. The Fiesta belly plate would have been another theme originally and lastly the top badge should be Nevada. I suspect checking what are in the reels may help confirm if another theme like Tic Tac Toe or Goldst...

Re: Buckley kicker question

Sacrificial plate, which is designed to take the wear and be replaced by an operator rather than the whole kicker. Often they were tacked/riveted on. If the kicker is engaging correctly many other reasons can cause the reels to spin poorly. First question, if you block the clock to allow free moveme...

Re: Trouble with Aristocrat reels not releasing

Some machines have an adjustment bolt on the arm to deal with this issue like below. IMG_20240209_113011724a.jpg Yours does not and earlier mechanisms often didn’t. Before shaving metal off parts, the arm may have been bent slightly as whenever there is a jam somewhere else the part often under pres...

Re: Trouble with Aristocrat reels not releasing

Are the clamps tightened right up the correct way now and the main arm they hold seated correctly?

Brakes make no difference.

Can you do a short video from behind of the problem.

Think you might be right about scratch built, whether a Barson version I don’t know, Pete has done some great inventive creations, just search the site. Lots of Philips screws and rough holes in the wood, pop rivets etc….case I thought may have had age, but who knows….

I have seen this on some other machines and reckon it is a hand load for jackpot, although this machine may have a blanked jackpot.

Re: B Firman & Co. products

I have never liked the Egyptian front Firmans machines, mainly due to most I have seen have been blinged up with horrible plating, especial the gold plate and ghastly colours….finally one has turned up in its original state, which shows most of these machines are collectors improvements……I didn’t bu...
