After experiencing our electric fence chum's :zapa: schemes, I seriously doubt any of the above will slow him down.
He doesn't seem to have allowed neither accuracy nor disingenuous representation to slow him down any in the past.
I'm sure he'll do his best.

The reel brakes look slack.
So with all the grease removed and I imagine everything calibrated except the reel brakes, that speed is to be expected.

I bought one of these in 1992.
If I remember corruptly apart from the securing lugs there's also a rigid plug, probably built into the mech chassis that needs to line up with its opposite number. They are multi pin and need to fit perfectly, check that first.
