Not at all, I thought we were both giving encouragement to those who wanted to take the lead. I've already had a few years of hosting these kind of get togethers and wished to give all the current posters a bit of a steer. My suggestion of starting an auction company stands and I'm more than happy t...

Sounds encouraging

It may well have changed, John and I were doing this 4 years ago, however I suspect that refers to an individual selling a machine and not somebody running an auction selling other people's. John applied for one of these for the auctions we did at The Nelson, then when he applied for a second a year...

Organising a central auction .......

Ok, this is all very good stuff. I used to run the midlands slotty collector's get togethers and supplied the venues for John Hanson's auctions. But there is just one thing that nobody is talking about here, which is relevant and can't be ignored. Namely the Gaming Board of GB. That is what stuffed ...

cabinet

.... if you check the seller's feedback, you'll see that he got feedback for selling the other one, although the photo seems the same. So would appear to have had more than one Still they look good and appear reasonably priced. Perhaps the seller uses this site and can answer. Must admit I was tempt...

Engineering Background Me????!!!!

No, I haven't been hindered by any formal training in engineering. Just have a degree in bodge-ometry .... much more useful! Don't despair, just remember that these machines spent most of their lives being adjusted with lump hammers and repaired with the best wire coat hangers money could buy! :smash:

I've got my teeth working but now the memory is fading. There are only two options, they either slide off or unscrew. So an unscrewing ...

Reel Alignment

So much easier to explain with the machine in front of you and very dificult to talk about. First question ... Is it occassional mis-alignment or is there always a reel (or reels) that's a bit scew whiff? Second ..... Are recognised combinations not paying out? Thirdly ..... At the end of a cycle ar...
