Re: My Erie Digger

So here are some facelift pictures of the crane. It’s been brightened up with a coat of red paint, a mirror has been placed in the back of the cabinet to reflect everything back together with small mirror tiles for decoration around the prize area. I have replaced the glass with 5 mm plexi acrylic f...

Re: Operator dilemma: old Pennies or Tokens?

It’s great to hear from other operators sharing information and stories. That’s what makes this forum so brilliant. I guess it’s all about experimentation. When I take the arcade out it’s always a bit of a show. I completely agree that making the general public part of the experience is what it’s al...

Re: Operator dilemma: old Pennies or Tokens?

Cheers treefrog, I agree with the idiots comment, sadly there are a lot of them out there :-) Many of our events are paid gigs so we actually return the money we raise to the booker to offset the hire fee. I think it varies with socioeconomic factors too. In Warwick £2 is nothing , in Nottingham peo...

Re: Operator dilemma: old Pennies or Tokens?

Very true BP. I can continue with the old pennies if I can get these at 5p each. At least that way if I lose them I am not out of pocket. I really think it will spoil the experience if I move to tokens for my own presentation purposes.

Re: Operator dilemma: old Pennies or Tokens?

Bit harsh saying they are stealing them, as you are selling them and they are buying them...? Of course technically you are right, in the eyes of a punter they are buying the coins.. In reality they’re exchanging their hard earned cash for the coins to use in the machines to play. Unfortunately thi...

Re: Operator dilemma: old Pennies or Tokens?

That sounds a good idea ab88, you are right on the cost for me to move to tokens. I think they will be in the region of 20p each which is more than losing the old pennies at the moment. Looking forward to seeing your Arcade when it's ready. :-)

However, any input should be seen as helpful, as it may lead you to the resolution through another route, maybe not now but in another time in the future. Many thanks for taking the time to share some ideas. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated, I guess that’s the whole point of the forum :-...

Re: Operator dilemma: old Pennies or Tokens?

If you drill a small hole through the old pennies, say 1/8 inch dia, they can still be used on the machines but will have no value to collectors. Just an idea... :!?!: I would love to put the price up. Yesterday went I told someone the price was 10 pennies for a pound their reply was “that’s an eff...

Here you go folks. There is evidence of the remains of two rusty pins to the left and right and what looks like a screw hole in the centre. In the correct light you can see a faint impression of an oval looking shape in the wood…

From what I believe it was made by Jamieson and supplied by Kraft. Interested to see if there are any other owners out there with the Electrodart that has the supplier plate on the front door.

Krafts Automatics Ltd metal tag

Hi folks,

It seems that my Electrodart has a missing Krafts Automatics oval metal sign. I’m trying to locate one to complete the look of the machine again. Has anyone out there have one or know any resources where I can acquire one?

Here is a photo, sorry it's a rubbish one!
