Re: HELP! pleeeease!!!

Daft question seeing as the vendors lived in my back garden for 18 months ........... but, isn't the aperture inside at the bottom adjustable so you could use the Tomy ones currently on e-Bay? How about encapsulating the gifts in "Fortune Cooky" batter, then your mother .......... errrr .....

Re: HELP! pleeeease!!!

Ping Pong balls, if they're the right size. Use a scalpel and cut them in half then rejoin them with 4 spots of super glue at opposite points so they can be easily be broken into. Lurk around your nearest supermarket looking for items in packaging that resembles the indented trays that boxes of choc...

Well done Stuart, was it made by Street's?
I used to have one of their Tuck Shops which if you won threw a roll of sweets at you.

Re: Daily rant.

A quick look at Goofbay tells us that this "on-tray-per-noor" has managed to get 286 of these fruit machine emptying auctions running whilst persuading ONE gullible sado to actually part with 99p plus 54p for posting. There is a message here, which appears to be eluding him as he was repos...

Re: Help identifying a machine

Hi OP B..... You've probably already done what I just did and Googled it. A couple of references are made to company registration listings and that's that. The only clue I can glean from the maker's sticker is that there is no post code on it which would suggest mid 60s or earlier as they were rolle...

Re: Daily rant.

Yes annoying isn't it? Especially as it's a rip off. I once placed an auction which explained in simple to understand reasons why there would be no software back doors, magic keys, codes etc. And that short of driving a Landrover over a modern AWP the only way to get any money out of one is to be th...

Re: Vintage Slots in Films and Newsreels

That looks like a good film I think I will try to get it on DVD. It's available from Amazon for around £10 as part of a 5 film set: Alec Guinness - The Screen Icons Collection . Better value than buying it on its own. I just bought a second hand copy from Amazon for about three quid p&p included.

Re: Token varieties

I half-heartedly started to collect them, more accurate to say I started putting one or two of the same sort aside. However I don't know any more than you seem to so over to others?

I'll dig out some of the odder ones and scan them in for posting.

The next harvest .........

As it was a pleasant bank holiday weekend Doff went out into the back garden to do a spot of weeding. Ever so excitedly she called out to me to come and see how well this year's crop was doing .......

Re: FREE MACHINES ... FREE MACHINES ...FREE MACHINES ...

Some of you might recall that a mere few years ago I offered a couple of sweety vendors for free? Well they have finally been snapped up by a discerning new collector, so that's good and it means that I won't have to badger the hell out of you all every 6 months. Whilst I remember it ......... you m...
