Re: Pictures of my Governor restored by copinpr

I agree the coach lines on this one were not originally painted but as others have said there are a lot of US versions with the lines painted and it liooks good. I have never painted the line surrounding reel window on one of these but I do wonder why,if it was never painted on any model, is it (a) ...

I've yet to find the right media for printing on a translucent film, but I've got a few ideas
I don't know if would work, but have you tried Letraset "safmat" adhesive printing film? It works on Laser and IJ printers. I use 8 * 10, but I believe they do bigger sizes.

.and you need to be over 18 To ride in the rocket? !PUZZLED! I grew up not far from Heathrow and had some relatives in key jobs there. This photo would, I think, be about 1958-60. The roof top terrace survived for many years, the slots not so long, if I remember. Actually considered an office block...

Re: Cast Iron welding rods

These rods look to be answer to a lot problems - thanks for sharing the info. I was recently in Lidl supermarket, always on the look out for stuff in their non-food dept and saw an arc welding kit for 39 pounds! It looked OK to my untrained eye, complete with mask and gloves! Anyone know if it's any...

Re: Aristocrat machine

Just my view, but I don't see the Auction page in quite that way. When I put the Duke on, I put as much info as needed to attract people then redirected them to the auction section of the Forum where it was easy to put videos, photos, and for people to ask questions and for me to answer them. The re...

Nice to see the Aristo on the auction page, but have to say you're wrong about the unfriendy auction page. I used it for the first time to auction the Little Duke two weeks ago and it could not have been easier !PUZZLED!

I dont have a lot to do with electro mechanical machines so I cant help much with the wiring but I do have a few basic comments, 1. if the solenoid shown above is rewired and had a new spring fitted it might well work but would not actualy do anything as it is shown in the photo, it does not appear ...

Loose reel bundle fixed!

Ever had a reel bundle on a slot machine with too much side to side movment? I have several and I've always had trouble fixing it, but today I came up with a good idea that works. Now, I'm sure all the gurus will say it's an old idea they have used for years but at least it will be on the forum now ...

Re: Tivoli slot machine

New reel strips are available on Ebay regularly, but check they are correct set. The missing lug sounds like an operator trick to reduce payouts. The slide is, of course, the usual problem with "pot metal" slides. If I remember, someone on the forum has dozens. CAN be mended with metal glu...
