Re: Aristocrat Grosvenor GOLD A GOGO
You have a few problems here getting the payouts to match the case. I strongly suspect the whole mech is from another machine - one with basic payouts. Changing the reel strips will not, I think, solve the problem, unless the basic amounts (cherries, oranges, etc.) match the payout card and you allo...

Nice machine... shame about the audio
To commemorate my 1000th post on this forum I thought I'd post this video I found on youtube. Machine works well but the commentary is too technical for me !PUZZLED! I know, I know, most of you will say my 1000 posts have been about as useful as this video... that's why I picked it  https://www...

Re: Buckley 10ct machine, polished aluminum castings
I think it very unlikely that Buckley restricted themselves to one color per denomination, it wouldn't have suited them or the operators. also they produced half tops in at least 6 colors, gold, silver, blue.black, yellow, and (i think) at least 2 reds. I have two (now red and yellow) that were origina...

Re: Jubilee Riviera - moving back to 5p / Shilling?
visitors liked the idea of popping 20p in with a potential jackpot of £25.60 (128 coins) -I don't fancy it myself Of course, if the machine is running correctly, you could expect a profit of around 15% - 20% . If you restrict the jackpot to say £10, your profits would increase even more and "b...

Good news in my opinion and considering what we expected perhaps better than hoped, well done . as you know my MP has taken an active roll in helping us (and also has 2 machines of his own) His recent letter to me shows hes still interested. Re: Aristocrat Grosvenor
The addition of the escalator and the coin unit that goes with it will improve the machine and increase the value. I'm not an expert as I've never had one of these, but I believe the whole unit needs to be changed. I could be wrong. If it does, then you might need to get the correct denomination - o...

Re: Elephant House Auctions
Ive never been able to go to the elephant house auctions and I know a lot of the stuff is in poor condition but I have to say that looking at the prices on the last auction there are some bargains espically for those of us looking for restoration projects. several german wall bandits for less than £...

Re: Jubilee Riviera -moving back to 5p / schilling?
Hi and welcome to the forum, Raj is right, a problem to convert, although not impossible. The parts you would need to replace would be the coin accepter, the coin tube, all the slides (if this machine uses slides - can't remember offhand) and perhaps the coin entry. In my view the best coin to run a...

Re: Brings a tear to the eye
The arcade I worked in back in the early '70s paid out in cigarettes on all the pinballs and the ageing Bally Bingo (3 replays got you 6 fags, nothing for 1 or 2 replays but you could play them off).
