Bryan's 12 win clock little hand/cog wheel damage

Topic merged - Site Admin. Not sure if this is a common problem on the Bryans clocks, but I noticed on mine the little hand on the clock was jumping back when nearing the 12 o'clock position. On closer inspection, I noticed a couple of teeth on the little hand cog wheel were slightly damaged. The m...

Bryans clock 12 win (old type) adjustments

Topic merged - Site Admin. Can someone help me on my 12 Win Clock adjustments? It seems to pay out in either 1 or 3 or 7 coins, sometimes it pays out correctly but not very often. I assume the red painted screws and nuts have something to do with fine tuning the mechanism, but not sure what adjusts...

Bryans clock 12 win (old type) cash box

Topic merged - Site Admin.

Did the Bryan's 12 win clock (old type) have a cash box? If so, does anyone have a picture of it. Failing that, I will probably end up using an old toffee tin or something similar.

Re: Bryan clock 12 win unknown part

Added some more pictures, the chrome detail around the Jackpot window? seems to be glued to the front - no screws!, unless they was secured from inside the cabinet. I don't want to force it off as I could damage the wood. Ideally looking to take the working from the frame in order to give it a good ...

Bryans Twelvewin Clock restoration

Picked up my new project for the Autumn today. The guy I bought it from said it was a 6 Win, turns out to be a 12 Win!! Not sure if this has a jackpot win though. It also had a part inside loose on the floor of the machine. Does anyone know if it may belong to this machine and, if so, what does it d...

Re: Southport Pier crap machines

There have been a few people who have tried to make a go at the old amusements at the end of Southport pier since Clive Baker. Sadly the high rates that the local council charges, has seen their ventures fail. I guess the husband and wife team who own the current machines will soon be on their way o...

Cutting holes in backflash

Topic merged - Site Admin. I am finally getting around to putting a new backflash on my Bryans Fivewin. As you only get one chance at making the ball release hole in the backflash, before making a mess of it, can anyone recommend a tried and tested way of getting the best result. I intend firstly t...

Re: new penny slot project with a difference

Many of the Stamp vending machines where situated in post boxes or in the larger K8 red telephone boxes, so here is my amateur attempt to try to create how it would have been in the George VI era.

Re: new penny slot project with a difference

Hi Gameswat
As you can see with the 1930s picture, the Stamp Vending Machine was fitted into a housing. This made it easier to maintain.
The main problem of course, it could never be completely water tight which ended up with many of the moving parts rusting up.

Hall Telephone Accessories Ltd. stamp vendors

Picked this up a couple of weeks ago, thought it would go well in the garden. It's a 1940s stamp vending machine. The insertion of a coin first lifts a coin plate, then, when pressed, the coin enters the machine lifting the "driving weight". This is connected to a rack and pinion, which ul...

Re: My first penny slot machine !

The phone is connected with the house by means of under ground cable, and can also be disconnected in the house when not be use. The light in the telephone box also works, I have it on a time switch, and come on when it has gone dark, stays on for a couple of hours. Because the telephone exchanges i...
