Re: Have you heard of an allwin called Double Your Win?
Hey Coin-op, couldn't help but notice the Aztecian photo cropping in the Double your money pic. My imagination has been running wild as to what treasure you're hiding - maybe Bryans Bumper #101?!

Re: BINGOLA Auto-Electric OVERLOADS
Hey, what's the difference with the two switches shown other than a cover on the second one? I'll bet they turn up on eBay every now and then, ok if you can be patient, or look ahead of time before starting a project.

Re: BAC 1911 Railway Contracts
The scale with the BAC logo is actually a junior Salter circa 1890! Still a few of these in Aust. Though not anywhere as common as the ornate models here. I was actually just offered a junior model by the talking scale seller in NZ. But hard to sell for much since they're so simple in design, they l...

Re: striking machine....
Yeah, that's the serial number all right. There might have been one close to 200 I seem to remember. Not exactly a huge production but it seems that most of the machines made here wern't sold. The manufactures made more cash operating themselves or leasing. And on another note, sadly a lot of vintag...

Re: striking machine....
How much for the little vendor? Ha, just watched Blues Bros. What a cool machine - I want one too! I've only ever seen the German versions of these in the books and I asked some euro dealers but no luck. I can't believe I've never seen a Cig vendor shaped like a cigarrette or shaped like a packet of...

Re: I need balls!
Riviera, I'll have to drag my machines out of storage but I'm pretty sure mine is actually the same and not a token payout after all! I'm getting forgetful, though it's been at least a few years since I've looked at them and even then I didn't look that closely. Not sure what that token belongs to t...

Re: I need balls!
Hey Riviera, did you get any tokens with either machine? I also have the Conquerors Flags machine and thus far have only found this one token that must be for the game. Just has a "1" on the other side. Mine is a basket case but I have half of another example to help me out. And was able t...

Re: Bryans All Square metal crane
DAMN - a lot of work for somebody! But since there are so many it would actually be a worthwhile production line job to get them all done at once. Though not for the likes of me. I have a short attention span for the same machines. First one is a blast, learning what's going on and how it should wor...

Re: I need balls!
Hi Riviera, very nice machine. But maybe you can answer a question for me? The seller claimed that both this and the Conquers Flags model were totally unrestored, yet both have matching red felt without even a blemish. Do you think it's been changed? The red should have faded by now and at least sho...

Re: Ruffler & Walker "What's My Line"
The reason the plastic buckles is because over time it shrinks, but since the plastic is held in place by all the playfield features it doesn't shrink evenly, hence the buckling. I've had great success by stripping the playfield down and removing the plasic sheet from the game. You need to handle it...

Re: Talk about weighting around!
A few photos of the cabinet side and back plus a few close-ups of the front castings. Nice eagle on the lower front. I like the fact it isn't over the top fussy and ornate like a clamshell Muto.

Re: Talk about weighting around!
Ok, awesome day Monday. Picked up my scale and it all worked out better than I'd hoped. Since it was a true antique I didn't pay any duty or tax, only a couple of small agents fees - alright. The scale is much lighter than I thought. The Salter cast irons literally weigh a ton, while this one on a s...

Re: Talk about weighting around!
Jingle - no card payout on mine. I never knew the Ahrens had that, I've seen a pic of one showing the mech but you couldn't tell. And the BAC had a dial so both the companies were covering their bases in case the sound faulted.

Re: Talk about weighting around!
Hey PM I feel very lucky! !THUMBS! I've always wanted to own a talking scale. I really dig the wackier pieces. Thank you for the pics as I'd never even heard of the BAC version before. I'd love an Ahrens machine as I'm also huge deco fan. I have the record already and two dubbed copies on 12" 7...

Re: Building a Payramid
In a rush but just took some pics for you. Can measure the cabinet on the weekend if somebody else hasn't beaten me to it. The award plate and jackpot are seperate casting than the centre one. Colour appears to be bronze. Hopefully these help a little. Admirable challenge you've set yourself! cheers.

Ha, my talking scale decided to take a holiday before moving in. Currently lounging around the freight terminal of Brunei airport! Booked in for Fri arrival though.

Re: Talk about weighting around!
Yeah, it's a special record with 2 pounds difference every groove, up to 250 pounds. This scale is early at 1904 but the really cool thing is this one was made in the US for export, with 1 Penny enamel sign and the record is spoken with an English accent! Obviously someone ordered enough that they d...
