Re: Winter project

Hi all, Second picture is the mock up of the playfield. I have also made the hopper with a micro switch in. I have made the table out of thin metal, managed to get the balance right. Coins that land on it will slip off into the cash box. Everything seems to work OK. Been busy this week, made the cab...

Gold Mine - Winter project

Hi all, Another winter project that I am working on. The new machine will be called The Gold Mine. Been doing bits on this over the last couple of months. Even though it's made out of bits of cardboard and plastic I have found it to be a really great game. The aim of the game is to roll the penny do...

Re: Recasting a 1927 Chester Pollard Junior Golfer.

Hi,
Lovely work. I love fiddly jobs especially when I get it wrong. Some projects I do five or six times before I get it right.

Re: Footballer machine

Hi All, Another one I made. I believe the footballer was made between the 1930s/1940s. These were used on the fairgrounds in a Hoop la. People used to put the coins on a little chute and fire the coin onto squares with numbers on them ranging from 1 to 6. Your penny had to hit the centre and not res...

Re: Coin mech and timer for working model help please

Hi If you type in The Burglar coin operated working model you will see the Burglar & the night Watchman. It seems the Drunkards Dream & the haunted house have vanished. You can also see the Footballer i made a few years ago, kids really love that. There are also short videos of our arcade in...

Re: Coin mech and timer for working model help please

Hi I would use cams. I have built dozens of working models over the years & made hundreds of mistakes, some very costly. We had to have someone to do the electrics as they had to be pat tested. I have a plan of the electrics somewhere. I also have a few solid brass coin entries which is use on m...

Re: The Jets are finished

Hi all, thanks for the praise. I wish I had the Jets & Waltzer 20 years ago when there was more money about. I am finding money getting very tight but thankfully we are still going OK. We do 20 goes for one pound. With the Jets & the Waltzer you don't need to explain how they work, they just...

Re: The Jets are finished

Hi all,
Took the Jets out today for the first time, what a cracking money taker. I have put a clip on Utube, just type in old time penny arcade Jets. I will try and see if PM can post it on his site. Bad light today, so not one of the best videos
Pete.

Hi Franco, sounds like a great machine. I have seen a few machines that fire cents at the target.

The Jets are finished

Hi all, Just finished the Jets - what a nightmare they have been, took me nearly 18 months off and on. The first hurdle was to design the jet so it catches the penny. The first jet I made was too big as the 8 jets were touching each other. After a few more attempts I finally got it right. The jets a...

Re: Waltzer tipper game

Hi All, there is a small bar to the right hand side of the cabinet which removes coins that have landed on the table into the coin box underneath. This is by far the best money taking machine that i have owned, players get 100s of goes for their pound every now & again one will land on the turn ...

Re: Wonders Tip It In

Hi All, took me ages to get a Tip It In, great machine to play with at home but no good on site. Sometimes the ball will jump out of the centre lever, people do not understand how it works. When you are really busy you haven't got time to explain to them how it works. Pete.

Re: My New Allwin

Hi Greg, nice machine. They are a nightmare to get working right as the penny does not know what fin to go in. I have had four automatic pay outs and couldn't get any of them to work right. I had to put them back into auctions. Hope you have some luck with yours. Always check the shim underneath the...

Re: Waltzer tipper game

Hi All, Thanks for liking the machine, it had a good bashing this weekend. It's just a great machine to watch & to play with. The clowns heads are made of solid brass, I used some thin sheet brass to help the coin get onto the play field. I was at Kineton scout fete on Sunday when a gentleman ca...

Re: Waltzer tipper game

Hi Jerry, nice to hear from you. Hope you are doing OK in your arcade. The Smithy is one of my best machines but has been overtaken by the Walzer. The Walzer had a good airing at the weekend - it has taken a lot of weight off the other machines. Pete.

Re: Waltzer tipper game

Hi Jerry, long time since we spoke, hope you are keeping well. Still got the 5 win working that I bought off of you about 15 years ago. The answer to why it's battery is because we do a lot of schools & they don't like traders using electric or generators. It's very eye catching when you see the...

Re: Selling slot machine collection - liable to capital gains?

Hi I think it depends on how many machines you have & how long you have owned them. Can you post a few photos & i am sure somebody can help you with the price Pete.
