I feel sad to be losing such an enthusiastic and fun contributor to the site and I'll miss your iconic videos which always make me smile, tune in and watch! You make it look so natural and easy to make, and yet there really is an art to doing it well and delivering in the engaging way you do, one of...

Re: Five Finger Discount
I can see this is an American incident but it happens here too, and far more often than you may first think. The parents are almost always involved in the scam until the kid has emptied all the prizes but then can't get out. They always plead innocence and blame the kid. Personally as long as there'...

Came across this here in the US for sale. Very nice, on 50c original, everything present. How much do you think?

Re: Tumbling Prices…
I'm over in the US at the moment and it's bloody expensive with the dollar almost equal to the pound, so it won't be me bidding on the Green Ray!

Re: Operator dilemma: old Pennies or Tokens?
The strange thing is just as 10p play doesn't take money, 2p does and if you win a lot of them you can't wait to put them all back in and hardly ever keep them. Once you change your money to old penny tokens (which do at a glance resemble 2p coins, and can't be changed back), as a player you don't t...

Re: Operator dilemma: old Pennies or Tokens?
I'd put your prices up straight away. 20p per penny, 6 for £1. We have change machines with 'mystery payout' coin mechs on some that give 7 for £1 and we swap these around. These always take more money as they think the machine has gone wrong! We still have punters that run off with coins, but then ...

Re: Questions for Arthur Bolland
Sorry, I have been super busy with the season. I did have a long and fascinating conversation with Arthur before he departed on his travels. We talked about his involvement and helping his Father with making the models. He distinctly remembers the Drunkard's Dreams. Arthur would paint the beer bottl...

Re: Fun and Games
If it was Morphys I'd have a second opinion on appraisal especially if they were asking their former English machine coin op 'expert', (not that I'm suggesting yours shouldn't fall far short of the other 2014 price achieved.) Two completely different machines, two completely different times.
