Re: velomat coventry auction

Thanks treefrog. This is the same machine and Harold told me about the slight problem before I bought it. It actually plays very well and is a good fun machine to play... he didn't have a wiring diagram and in truth if he couldn't fix I would be extremely surprised if there is anyone else who could....

Velomat - Coventry auction

Did anyone here buy the above? I have one with a slight problem & could do with a wiring diagram and would be very grateful for a copy from the buyer if they have one or from anyone else if they could help.

Re: I'LL TAKE A DOZEN

Looking at the condition (back flash shot and damaged behind no doubt, extensive rust and much rechroming to do with the 'flicker' rusted and hanging loose plus no picture of workings etc. etc ) & taking into account current price for one in good condition I can only assume the seller meant £75 ...

Re: Guilt by omission?

I am with J P on this one. Caveat Emptor is one of the oldest aphorisms and still largely relevant today. However I think the description was misleading. I suppose one should always look especially carefully on ebay and ask questions, particularly when, unlike a real auction, you cannot inspect befo...

Re: Mills Extraordinary

I see the Mills went tonight. Was it anyone here? I would like to know if I was right in my assessment. I see J P is on line.... any thoughts (if you saw it)?

Mills Extraordinary

Any Mills fan seen the above on ebay (230440845174 )? The markings and workings suggest original although I assume new paint job, possibly hiding worse problems than just at the top and the handle looks very bright. I assume not as popular as other Mills (unless there are some unduly high prices out...

Re: Pressies

Happy Christmas & a Bright New Year Badpenny. No Slot pressie .However the Chief Planning Officer has granted planning permission for another machine on site under The Christmas Goodwill Regulations 2009. How long that permission will remain will no doubt depend on the reaction of the C.P.O. to ...

STUNNING ! I trust the ghost of Mr. Bryan is looking on with pleasure. I note out of interest that the control knob is for the left hand (which would suit me !) -- any reason and are you by any chance left-handed?

Re: Adverts

Yes I agree .This community is made up mostly of people who actually like the machines rather than just for the money (although there will be a few ).If someone sells something that is a wrong'un it is unlikely they will get away with it again. However please don't forget market and auction here.I w...

Re: Payramid not working

Thanks slotalot. Good idea. I'll post some at the weekend, Regards, Speedwell. Arrgee is of course right that the machines are different. If the patent could be posted or emailed I would be very grateful. I appreciate that for a layman it will hard to follow but it is also out of interest. I hope Ar...

Re: Payramid not working

First, thanks for your replies. I really appreciate them. Secondly please forgive anything particularly naive that follows (or in the future and I won't mention it again!) I was a mean player of the Payamid and Retreeva many years ago but only recently started to be interested in their workings. Now...

Payramid not working

Newly proud possessor of a late 1d model. Worked fine until I started to fettle to try and get the jackpot to work and now it won't pay out at all. I suspect I have done something when tinkering but although I've studied the machine and looked at Mel's site I still don't know what I've done and stil...

Re: Are machines getting more expensive?

First I'm sorry WillBorl that my dreams of a Retreeva got the better of me - the nearest I've got is many happy hours as a boy playing them. I agree with all Coin-op says about Bryans and people buy for different reasons. But however bad ebay is (and I think it stinks) it does seem to bring out the ...

Re: Are machines getting more expensive?

First posting but have been following thread. Sega and Bryans prices connected (shock horror!). Newbaby advertises variously on Mel Wrights site as a collector. He may be but deals a lot. Also deals a lot with Topgun who frequently is the under bidder. Have a look under seller for last 15 days. Topg...
