Maybe tokens reference "assists" camouflaging any license/permit issues.

Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project
It’s going to be a race to the finish. Looks like the final parts of the arcade will not be ready till early Saturday morning. This is the day of opening! Here is one of the four pillars almost finished. 189A3DD5-8A4B-42C1-83E6-E7BD50EFEDB1a.jpg Still have the A-board that will disguise the towing h...

The Bryans clock is actually the converted glenvil dial with only one hand....not sure how well this will do. I have put a few of the machines in today. I hope the oc...

Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project
Thanks you all for your kind feedback and encouragement. Since joining the forum at the end of last year I took my first steps in learning about this hobby. I decided to try and make the collecting pay if possible hence the arcade idea was born. I still only have a small collection of machines which...

Re: Temple’s Penny Arcade Trailer Project
So the arcade project has returned home for final build and installation of the machines.
Here are some pictures of the work as everything starts to come together.
I am very pleased with the Lakin design that we have tried to emulate from the heyday period of fairground art.

Re: Swastika Symbol on Coin Operated Machines
The Swastika reference was originally one of good luck or good fortune. In this context it was entirely appropriate to decorate something such as a dice tosser with a symbol of luck.
Clearly this would pre-date anything relating to the war and any Nazi movement that later adopted this symbol.

So the flaps are back on, lined and finished. The lighting and trellises have been installed today.
Tilts to be added tomorrow, these will have scalloped edges hopefully!

He is a good friend and fairground painter. I will add a link to his website and his number once the job has been finished. I collect the finished trailer a week tomorrow then I can start fitting the machines.

I believe these are something to do with the tension for the payout lever. I may be wrong and maybe one of our more learned colleagues on the forum can advise.

Thanks for the pictures Treefrog. I will have another look and see what I can do. Machine runs very smoothly it’s just the actual turning of the key that seems to be the problem.

Re: Bryan’s clock key to handle conversion.....
I have moved the pin to the bottom hole now. It cranks outside the case but is still very stiff. I wonder if the 2 springs are necessary but they appear original being still covered in blue paint.

Re: Bryan’s clock key to handle conversion.....
I wonder if anybody can check their machines to see which of these holes the pin is through please. It could be this that is causing the handle to be difficult to turn....

Re: Bryan’s clock key to handle conversion.....
No it didn’t have coins in. It was part of a collection from a retired showman. The number stamped on the machine is 979.
