Re: Coventry Auction - Sunday 27th November 2016
I have to say that my experience with absentee bids by eh are the same panda999. In the past i bought several items with absentee bids, and the were always (far) below my max bids. By the way, how is the weather forecast for coventry next week?

You can sign me up for the 27th. ( if the KLM don't strike) the schedule is a bit narrow.

Re: Coventry Auction - Sunday 27th November 2016
Such a shame that Both auctions are on the same date. I agree with polaris but my experience is that an absentee bid is never the max market price. This because you have not seen the lot live. It will mean less profit for the seller and auctioneer. (I think)

Re: US 25cents quarters
Indeed the Elephant House is a good choice. Or another way which is not so cheap, like I did this summer: take an holliday for two weeks and keep the change you receive all the time (I was lucky and left before the hurricane came).

Indeed bp, you are right with the sticky fingers. It seems to be they enjoy it to put they're full hands on the chrome. And when you are a little bit short with coins and you want to play the machine and they put them already in

Re: Problem with deposit
Thanks for your reply bp. I prefer not to share the name of the auction house because it's not my meaning to hurt his business. It's a shame because I like business like that. Maybe I will tell the name later if he don't solve the problem. And it's also possible he will read this topic.

Auction house problem
Hi all, I have a problem with an auction house for the past year. I hope someone can advise me about collecting a deposit of 100 pounds that I left year-round to make absentee bids. The last year I had to win with three absentee bids some parts/coins. But after probably 50 messages by mail and twitt...

Re: Why you shouldn't grease a bandit
Very nice to find coppinpr, sometimes it feels a little like Christmas when you find a lot of old coins in it. I found in my Mills 21 Bello Matic about 150 old Dutch guilders. The cashbox was closed and no key off course. When I opened it I found another 200 coins in a bag! It's not about the money ...
