It is chrome plated. Last night I put some wax on it, just to see if the chrome could look a little better. Unfortunately the chrome is in a quite bad shape (the picture in the front lies a bit). I am thinking about a paint job on the front, but I will not do that without more information about it. ...

and yes BP, the little I could see of the illuminating thing when I bought it (because only a few bulbs was OK) was quite nice

Yes, I reckon that would be the best, to replace the transformer. The only thing it does is to light up the lamps.
I have found nothing about the correct effect I should have on the bulbs. I don't want to risk the plastic in the front getting damaged.

Well definately I want to change the reel strips to the right ones, because the award card says Bell Fruit and the strips say Bar.
