Re: Mills 4 reels Bel o Matic

It is chrome plated. Last night I put some wax on it, just to see if the chrome could look a little better. Unfortunately the chrome is in a quite bad shape (the picture in the front lies a bit). I am thinking about a paint job on the front, but I will not do that without more information about it. ...

Mills 4 reel Bell-O-Matic

Hi guys!

Today I bought this machine. I have come across almost no information about this 4 reeler. I have found "MLB" on some of the parts on the mec. Any info is appreciated. Share your knowledge. !PUZZLED!

Re: Old electrics in machines

I don't know if it is a problem, but I just couldn't figure out what effect on the bulbs chose. Already ordered on ebay (1 watt). That shouldn't hurt the plastic and will hopefully light up the machine in a nice way. I am a little sceptical about LED in these old machines. I think this modern LED-th...

Re: Old electrics in machines

Yes, I think I follow your advice Raj. Safety has to come first,
and yes BP, the little I could see of the illuminating thing when I bought it (because only a few bulbs was OK) was quite nice :D

Re: Old electrics in machines

Thanks Slotalot

Yes, I reckon that would be the best, to replace the transformer. The only thing it does is to light up the lamps.
I have found nothing about the correct effect I should have on the bulbs. I don't want to risk the plastic in the front getting damaged.

Old electrics in machines

Thought I should ask you guys what your opinion is about old electrics in machines. When they were made, there was not that much safety about as nowadays. Right now I am working on a Jennings Chinesefront and there is a transformer on it that works, but I wonder if I should allow 220 volts to go thr...

Re: Jennings Club Chief Super De Luxe

Well definately I want to change the reel strips to the right ones, because the award card says Bell Fruit and the strips say Bar. I will take a closer look at the payout problem and follow your advice checking the holes in the reels. How do you blank non-valid holes out in a correct way? !PUZZLED! ...

Jennings Club Chief Super De Luxe

Recently bought this machine. It pays out as it should, plus on one or two other combinations when it shouldn´t. !PUZZLED! The reel strips can´t be originals. A guess is that the reels have been drilled to match the non-original reelstrips and some mistake has been made while drilling. Anyway, I thi...

Re: Das Henkeltöpfchen

Actually I bought them in Sweden, but not from the same seller. Wall machines are quite rare to come by here in Sweden. Unbelievable these two machines came up for sale at the same time from different sellers. I couldn't resist to buy them :D . I think I might buy that book you mentioned. Do you kno...

Das Henkeltöpfchen

Have just bought two German machines. When I have checked the internet, the machines are supposed to been made in Berlin in 1927 by a man called William Furst. That information is what I have managed to get. All information is appreciated. There is only one sign left on the playfield on one of the m...
