Re: So .. what you get?

" Well sort of, unfortunately Bryans made rubbish bandits and Jennings were crap at Allwins" .. Thank you Tommy COOPER!

I bought my wife the Ice Hockey game from Coventry Auction, but she doesn`t seem to want it so I`ll have to have it! Shame!

I agree with everthing he said! **xXx**
We could also use Jerry`s mag to advertise stuff for sale. If the mag is not supported I doubt Jerry will be able to afford to keep it going, despite him being an eccentric millionaire. ( Well eccentric anyway )

Re: "The Lucky Coin Amusements" original 1960s arcade.

Hi Darren, Looks a fantastic Arcade, well done! For what it's worth, my advice would be to talk to other operators. After collecting machines for 20 years, early on I realised that an operator has a very different view of slot machines to a collector. If you are able to, talk to the people who can g...

Re: Coventry 2011

I see the results are in! Someone`s been busy! The results , plus a photo
( many taken on the day) of a large number of the lots, are now in the Arena.
Many thanks for all your hard, unpaid work, Mr PennyMachines. **xXx**

Re: Elephant House Auction

I expect the results will appear in the Arena in due course along with the Coventry auction. Having had a great weekend the previous week, and based on the fact there were so many non slot, off topic lots, I too decided not to go. The hammer prices reflect what reserves the seller sets, and often lo...

Re: Coventry 2011

Just got home yesterday and this is the first chance to get online. I thought that the auction was really great this year, and well run. There seemed to me to be the best selection of machines we have ever had. I thought that the prices on the whole were a bit down, but I thought that the reserves m...

Re: Unknown lot

I think you have totally misinterpreted coin-op`s posts, and I was most surprised by your post! I have alway thought coin-op goes out of his way to help people with his replies. I have been collecting machines for 20 years and know very little about bandits, or American machines in general.

Re: well it is coin operated !!

I hope I can throw a bit of light on the subject of the savings clock (I know nothing about the other topic, I just do as I`m told, worked for the last 32 years!) I too own one. It is fed florins, which free the winding mechanism. Made by Time Savings Clock Company Limited and Metamec in the late fi...

Re: Bryans Twelvewin Clock jackpot version

Hi
This is all I can find from when I restored my clock years ago.

Click on the photo and it will open in another window bigger and you can enlarge it further. This is the front of the mech with the face removed.

Re: Ripplers: repro & real

The picture I posted was of an original Rippler from the Bryans museum. The Photo on Melyvn's site acredited to P. Barson is also an original. The repros appear to be very good, but I think that it is hard to fake 70 years of use, and they do look new. All adds to the fun. I am always willing to adm...

Re: Bryans clock in a metal case

It looks like Formica to me, not metal, in which case it could well be 1960`s as the seller claims. I`m sure Bryans would have done whatever the customer wanted, and the operator may have thought it would make it look more modern against the newer bandits in formica like the "Duchesses". I...

Re: Bryans Elevenses Part

I must admit I did not follow the link. I can`t get to their website either. I assume they are still trading as they advertise in Jerry`s mag. Failing that I would think one of the members with a lathe could turn you one out of brass rod, put a thread on it and then you could get it chromed. Might b...
