I remember visiting Dransfields (amusement machine operators) in Leeds in 1978 and in their yard was a skip full of empty Jennings cases going off for scrap. They were pulling the original Jennings mechanisms out to use in those horrible floor standing fruit machines with upright chipboard cases and glass front with a relay tray inside.

However, by the late 1980s they had a full warehouse floor crammed full of Jennings Governors and Chiefs all bubble wrapped up safe and stored, so they learned their lesson.

I'll bet every single one went back to the US in a container to be rebuilt.
