Help for a TV show needed
I've been contacted by a company making a TV show that needs early amusement machines. This time they need 1930s (or very early 40s) pinballs. I should have more info tomorrow but it would seem they are willing to hire machines from their owners. I have told them all machines would need to be fully insured for loss or damage and owners would need that in writing. Anyone interested in getting involved pleases PM me.

From personal experience, many times over, my advice is simply steer clear. Film and TV companies are a total pain in the arse and are invariably absolute time wasters.

Evening
Happy to hire machines out or use my locations, but no pintables. Other machines, if they require them.

Re: Help for a TV show needed
I know what you mean, but in their defence, this is a major production by a very large production company not a "make it then try to sell it" fly by night production Co, I even had to sign a non-disclosure doc before they could even talk to me about the details of the production. they also have serious insurance in place.I think I personally would go with this one where I wouldn't have in the past, but its down to each individual of course.
I can tell you they need to recreate this scene as correctly as possible

Re: Help for a TV show needed
Reminds me of someone who supplied number of original working bandits for a TV crew for an outside filming location. These were hired with insurance. However, also needed large number of empty cabinets for the background. These were purchased as likely to be damaged in "explosive action scenes". Once filming completed the supplier returned to the location to collect all hire machines which were all undamaged. The purchased cabinets were all in two skips within the fenced-off location, but nearly all were undamaged. These were written off and the supervisor allowed him to retrieve cabinets from the skips at no cost.

coppinpr - I've deleted the images from your post which contained the Gettyimages watermark (which is generally to deter copying).
Getty permit embedding of some images using their slide-show embedding code, but they don't permit downloading and posting them to other websites. Those images are labelled Rights-managed, 'not released'.
Historically Getty have been litigious. Let's not get sued and accused of hypocrisy on the same day!
