Aristocrat Arcadian 65
I own the above machine and have discovered this wonderful website by googling. I would like to have my machine refurbished (a good clean and oil of the inside, so that it is working properly but NOT full re-chroming, etc.)
Unlike members of this forum, I am not handy and do not wish to attempt the project, myself. Can anyone recommend a firm, or an individual, who is competent to do the refurb for me (preferably in the London area)?
Thank you in advance,

Re: Aristocrat Arcadian 65
I would be happy to post an image from my computer but it appears, from the Forum FAQs, that I can only post images from the internet. If I am wrong, and I can post from my PC, please advise how (in simple language, as I am a simple person) and I will happily post photos.
Thank you
Thank you

You can post from your PC.
There are some instructions here, but as long as your files are not huge this image should suffice:

There are not that many people who offer this type of service to collectors as a business, obviously Henry Powell is the leading company, but a long way from you. Many collectors will offer help, for those who have the time.
There is one guy who is on this site and is close to London who offers a repair and restoration service. He has a website below for details and maybe able to assist with what your after. I know he is not big into Aristocrats and there are one or two of us here who favour these machines and am sure will be able to offer advice for any specific support or guidance

Doesn't look much wrong with it to me, very clean in fact. If you want to bring it to me in Lewes I'll service it for you. Send me a PM if interested.

Nice looking 65 Just needs penny badge / reel strips repairing & a good clean job done. Never seen that design before.

I have decided to have restoration done by Terrence Powell Group.
I'll report back to the Forum how that goes.
Thanks to all who commented.

I must ensure you have a comfy chair at the next Coventry Auction, you may order anything from the bar and put it on my tab.
Re: Aristocrat Arcadian 65
Bloody hell, money must be no object. lol
Service will cost more than the machine I would imagine.

Very expensively You really didn't need to do that, your machine needs very little doing to it.I have decided to have restoration done by Terrence Powell Group.
Re: Aristocrat Arcadian 65
I fully agree with the previous posts...a very expensive option for such a basic bandit. I've done loads of these, turned from rusty piles of crap to shiny boys toys in a couple of days max. They are so easy to work on, and parts easy to find. Can't be bothered any more, not a challenge for me.

Re: Aristocrat Arcadian 65
Terrence Powell Group did a good job of restoration. They arranged transport, both ways.
They returned the restored machine before the deadline I had given them.
If you are not handy, yourself, you might wish to consider this option.

Picture pictures.
So although you may not want to share, and for those wishing such a service, how expensive would such a restoration be?

Re: Aristocrat Arcadian 65
Be really nice to see it on here, your pics. Did you have before and after pics? I love my Aristo Olympic (same thing as Arcadian), it's so reliable and I remember playing them in the arcades. Although very common, I'm very fond of them. I think I got mine by trading it with somebody on here. It's all very clean and tidy and the chrome came up very well as there was paint covering it. Had my coin entry laser cut to allow 20p's but still can be played on 1p too. I've never had to do anything with it service wise, it just runs on and on and the best service for it is playing it each week. Must post my pics.
