Just picked up this little fascinating device and have not came across one before and wondered if anyone had any info on it?
Love the way the gum vendor works.

Mine was sold at Coventry perhaps 4 years back .... I'll need to check the records, I think it went to Dutchland.

Dates to 1938,has two unusual features,(a) the reels strips only have three symbols on them(so sounds easy to win...it isn't) (b) it stores up free plays on the left and if you match this with the other reels it offers winners up to 60 to 1

Mine was nothing like that so far as 3 symbols and storing up free plays are concerned, otherwise identical.

Bueschel's book simply says "looks simple but a tough call, stores up free plays as you rack up points" I don't know how it does this (or even if it does this !PUZZLED! ) but the payout screen does say it will pay up to 60 to 1 although how you make your selection I don't know. Turning the big knob on the front? :!?!:

So how does the gum vendor work?

The gum vendor works by turning the knob on the front.

Presume it holds the coin or has a window or similar to check denomination before payout?
