That is the viewing window and reset button as it is on my machines, although looking at that picture it looks like a piece of tin with a gap at the bottom so could have been converted to a reject slot, whereas mine is all glass.

Could be mine has a repro door as mine is solid with no windows or buttons. Will take a look inside it tomorrow.

I can confirm mine takes any coin as well. Must be a repro back door on it as it's solid.

Maybe when a win is notified, the attendant presses the reset button and the last coin deployed drops out of the chute so he knows what denomination to repay against?
