BMCo. 24 Cup allwin identified

Post by pedrick »

I’m trying to find any information about this Allwin. There are no marks found as of yet to identify it and I can’t seem to find another similar one. It’s a 24 cup pays out 1 coin per win. Can’t wait to restore this one to its former glory.

Also, does anyone make replacement hinges for these machines?

Looks like it's BMCo, possibly late stock finished or re-vamped by Oliver Whales. The pediment isn't original - some might say lose it, others might prefer to keep it, as it's part of the machine's history. Personally, I think it looks totally out of place, but that's for you to decide. Lovely machine, and will look great with a little sympathetic restoration (but I think I would dump the pediment).

Since posting, I see you've added internal pictures - definitely BMCo.

I wonder if the backflash is original? It's similar to the "dazzler" pattern found in tribal rug weavings from old Persia and Afghanistan. I do like it.

You may find it interesting to compare your allwin with the auto-pay version recently discussed here: BMCo. 24 Cup auto pay allwin identified. Notice the identical cabinet, striker cover, coin slot and general layout.

The purchaser of this machine is also trying to source hinges. I suggested he try this US-based company: https://www.guden.com/Control/Lift-Off-Hinges
...if you cannot find the specific type of detachable hinges you are looking for, or if you require additional customization, please contact our customer service team or visit our customs site. Together, we can create the perfect custom lift off hinges for you.
If they're reasonable on price it might be worth getting some made up to sell to other collectors as it's a typical and often missing item.

Replacement hinges for Allwin

Post by pedrick »

Topic merged - Site Admin.

I’m looking for a resource for replacement hinges for an Allwin. I believe them to be nickel plated. I have one complete hinge and half of the other. I’m looking to either replace both as a pair or find a single one that will work.
