Merkur
Re: Merkur
So as Santleman stated, very similar to Mills clocks, see below. I did not take mine out as machine difficult to get to, but the mount positions are the same at back and it appears to be a roller type unit, like the spare I have also shown. I never noticed the slow timing like on Gunter Wulff machines, like I have never seen this on Turas, maybe they geared them differently originally
If you decide not to go for it, let us know as may be tempted..did you get any pictures of the machine,

Re: Merkur
Tough call, but needs rescuing.....in my view £300 is too much for work involved....but I have spent similar on basket cases......I would go £250 if it had back door.....
Are we actually allowed to travel around anymore buying machines with ever changing rules, I’m confused

Re: Merkur
The Merkur is finally done. Not perfect, but good. I have really enjoyed doing this machine. The wood had gone and the mech just solid with rust after being under a bench for 30 years. My biggest regret is not being able to get hold of some new reel tins. The ones on it are usable curtesy of Treefrog but it would have been nice to fit some new or really good ones.
