Firmans revamp identified

Post by nvmos2 »

Topic merged - Site Admin.

This machine is for sale in the US as a 25cUS machine.
I suspect it was a Mills export machine that has been revamped in Europe with a jack pot front.
Can anyone identify the maker of this jack pot front (with the 2 visible jackpots and crown at the top center)?
Thanks.

I believe it is a Firmans revamp.

Thank you for your very kind reply. I think S. Firman is a type error also.
You can appreciate that when my Mother & Father took over the business, time had passed to lead B. Firman to a general engineering company.
These are the last photos I have had given me after much research throughout the family to trace back to B. Firman. There are no more unfortunately.

My mother & father knew more about this legacy after taking over B. Firman & Co.

I can only thank you all on behalf of my family & myself to write this, that with much regret that my Mother suddenly passed away 30/06/21

Mr Jeffrey Dunkley.

I'm also sorry to hear of your loss Jeff.

Thank you for posting those two images, showing the flyer and mechanism of this rare viewer. Now we know it's official name. Here are the only three examples of The Firman Electric Picture Box I've found:
