Salter Scale original paint scheme
Salter Scale original paint scheme
While trying to research the Bryans Pendulum, I came across an original Salter Scale ad for one of their scales. I thought I'd share it because of how neat the paint scheme is on it... Maybe it would be useful to people restoring a scale. Often we think of old scales painted very plainly and suspect that colorful schemes were later collector 'enhancements', but many were magnificent to begin with...

It always makes me laugh when I see Salter and Watling scales with hand rails....a little bit of pressure applied in the right way takes lbs of your weight and no dieting needed
