On the other hand, smart sellers go to Coventry:

Sold at Coventry fully working for £575 - 24th November 2013

Sold on ebay fully working for £310 - 8th December 2013

Different example, slightly different condition, but very different price.

Yes luck of the draw.....you often see the same machine in from one auction the next, varying in prices widely, down to the two bidders there on the day

auctions cause more than just price changes
a. would the Ebay sale have been higher if there had been no machine at Coventry? (causing more bidders)
b. would the Coventry sale have been so high if this hadnt been the first one seen in ages( there was a lot of interest in this machine at Coventry)
c. would Mr p's machine have appeared at all on our auction site if the others hadnt made good money

Guys! Shhhh! I am bidding on this one so let's go mum with the positive vibes, please!

How about a bit of the old "oooh, looks a bit dodgy". "Is that 'Made in China' I see stamped on the side"?

Help a chap out, eh?

After all, it is Christmas!

If you want me to help you out you will need to persuade me not to bid at a later stage

:HaHa: I suspect I would have to persuade a good number of folk where this machine is concerned. !DOH!

By the way, did you say it has "Made in China" on the side.....?

I think maybe it would have been far more polite to say "two people with a keen interest in a machine".

When it comes to machines, aren't we all crackpots?

Actually, it has three antique notices on the side which were apparently composed by badpenny's great granddad.
