Re: Coventry Auction - Sunday 27th November 2016
I have just had a thought regarding the EH/ Coventry dilemma, whilst grouting the tiles on my shower
, I was wondering if the answer to all our woes would be if Steve had a preview of his auction on Saturday 26th.
It would give those of us dithering, a chance to look at the machines in E H and leave an absentee bid, plus cash deposit with Steve, and still go to Coventry on Sunday. A win, win situation.
Come on Steve I know you look at this Forum, what about it??

I think that might defeat the object of his plan which is clearly he doesn't want people to go the Coventry.

I hope this doesn't happen next year, most inconvenient.bryans fan wrote:I have just had a thought regarding the EH/ Coventry dilemma, whilst grouting the tiles on my shower, I was wondering if the answer to all our woes would be if Steve had a preview of his auction on Saturday 26th.

I won't be going to either now as short on funds, good luck to all those with the cash to spend!

Re: Coventry Auction - Sunday 27th November 2016
I am not wishing to take a side on the Coventry v Elephant house situation and clearly very strong views are held on both sides. I have spoken to Mr Hunt last week and he has said he will be available to view on Saturday afternoon I have arranged to visit at around 4pm on my way to Coventry where I am staying overnight and joining the group of people at the Saturday night banquet. The EH auction starts at 1pm and will start viewing soon after 9am so there is time to view and leave a bid before going on to Coventry and spending the day in the warm! I believe that Mr Hunt's auction is totally fair and a bid left will be treated as such, as other members have testified. A last thought Mr Hunt usually comes and bids at Coventry,in fact he bought last years star lot the cast iron footballer so why would he try to destroy our sale? I know that Mr Hunt is a very hard man to contact I have found the best way to get a response is to text but no guarantee's!
