I think it may have been something to do with the fact that I had combed my pet skunk earlier that morning BP.
Just noticed the Novamat that sold at Coventry is now on ebay, I love the footnote.............

I think would have sold at £6500 but didnt quite get thereanyone know what the Buckley bones sold for?

It failed to reach reserve, and was worth every penny of a grand more than last year's Bally equivalent.
If had a Grandma to sell, I'd have had a run at it. T'was lush and no mistake!

Prices were certainly not low even with a few lots unsold......nice to see the aristocrat fetching good money, would have been on my list if I had gone and would have been wiped out on this price. The Rol a Tor seemed a reasonable price, was this the bargain of the day......
