‘In need of restoration’
Re: ‘In need of restoration’
Although it still has two key components that are fragile and difficult to get, the handle assembly and coin acceptor. If these are good, they are invaluable for a restoration of your pride and joy.
Over the years I built up spares from breakers just like this and you have to pay good money to get them. I have none of these parts now and was tempted myself, but they would not ship, but now I see they do

Re: ‘In need of restoration’
Oh I totally get that there’s value in the item for rare parts. I was just amused as the idea of ‘in need of restoration’ when they main part of it isn’t there.... maybe that’s just my sense of humour!
Re: ‘In need of restoration’
Yes indeed, I would have just explained what you're getting.....hopefully no one will be filling enough to bid believing they will get a complete machine.

Re: ‘In need of restoration’
Same seller sold this for £246 a lot of worm but seemed cheap enough. Is it a Win a Cig?

Re: ‘In need of restoration’
There seem to be (at least) two distinct versions.
I believe Philip Shefras sold the version with a manual cigarette release mechanism (like the out-of-focus ebay example above):
Philip Shefras
Your Players Please has the automatic cigarette release mechanism and was marketed by Morris Shefras:

Re: ‘In need of restoration’
Same seller sold these. They look the same maker. Does anyone know who?
Re: ‘In need of restoration’
I'd take a stab at early Oliver Whales. Does seem somewhat fortuitous that two practically identical machines have survived together for 80 odd years.
Re: ‘In need of restoration’ any help much appreciated
Hi all,
Needing help with trying to source the payout mech and hopper for a “Win a Cig” Oliver Whales. It’s been changed into a penny payout machine, but I would like to get it back to standard as possible.
Thank you
