Automint help

Post by ninecup »

Hi.
Could anyone explain the purpose of the contact switch on the back of the coin slot. If it is bypassed the machine works fine. If not it shuts down as soon as the arm makes contact with it.

Could be wrong ... often am.

Doesn't it initially kick the cycle into action having been activated by the coin?

As the cam turns it closes a second switch which takes over, allowing the lever to eject the coin without switching it off prematurely.

I imagine when you say by-passed you mean short circuited, as that would activate the cycle.
If the machine stops the moment the arm does its job then the second switch up in the bank controlled by the cam isn't closing.

Stuart will be along later to either confirm/deny/laugh at my suggestions ... he should be believed.

Thanks for all your thoughts. Just one more thing. The solenoid on the right seems to be always on. Is this correct?
