That'll be another target date then for someone else to run an auction on.

I really like the Caille Dough boy but too much money for me, lot 174 is interesting, a brass till ,nothing unusual till you see it has a "special coin" wheel on the left, usually used for gold sovereigns in the UK back when they were in everyday use.the special coin was put into the top of the wheel and not the cash draw, each time you pressed the till keys the wheel moved one click, displaying the coins within the wheel till they eventually fell into the separate cash box at the bottom Ive only ever seen 1 other like it,and thats the one I have at my old business .bought new by my grandfather,Ill be interested to see how much it goes for.

Re: Chartres auction - 04/12/16
There was a story around the Pink Floyd pig, which some of you probably already know, but after the shoot it really did fly away and the makers, a prop company I think based in Cambridgeshire lost it after it got loose from its tether and disappeared for some time. Weeks later to be found in a field, probably hunting pink truffles.... It was in auction about a year ago, but was withdrawn.
Prices are certainly not tempting in this auction. That Witches Cave looks like it has been refurbished with the different bright paintwork and textured roof, but who I am I to know....

Re: Chartres auction - 04/12/16
I'm finding the Chartres auction website catalogue almost impossible to browse. The pages take an age to load and then the pictures are far too small. Has broadband not reached the outskirts of Paris yet? I think such miserly little pictures are inexcusable given the negligible cost of making them large enough to be useful in assessing condition.

I've posted a translated version of the catalogue (just the slots) in the Arena, pending results.JC wrote:problem is, it's all in French!

Not seen any prices from Coventry or Elephant either from the vendors websites or our host on here.... wonder whether the energy has now gone with Xmas coming up.
