Re: Reeman Dansie auction
Clearly a typo by me should have read£6-10,000 ! for Daughty and Barett lot 3422 . The machine does however from picture look to be 100% original and would think a fair estimate if on inspection this is the case. Other estimates a bit mixed but surly a typo on green ray [lot3484] should be hundreds not thousands !

There are pictures today showing at info@the-saleroom.com. Viewing on Saturday and Tuesday. I will try to post pictures at the weekend.
Re: Reeman Dansie auction
Photos from today's auction. The first one I have visited this year. Some very cheap lots and it was great to catch up with so many fellow slotties.
Re: Reeman Dansie auction
Yes enjoyed today and meeting with fellow slotties, of which some travelled a long way, others like me and Cheeky not so far
As was mentioned some bargains as the results will show and had to stop myself bidding due to space constraints.....I did not capture the numbers, but the auction website has the figures on.
Lovely to see some machines I have never seen or played, I believe the top few lots are staying in the country.......

Re: Reeman Dansie auction
I was following the auction online but thought the items I was interested in were a bit expensive ( once you add the auction house 27%)
Re: Reeman Dansie auction
24% with VAT but in fairness, they have a shed load of staff and it is run very efficiently and best of all it was local..... to me.

Re: Reeman Dansie auction
Our inhouse auction reporter I assume is otherwise engaged, but all the figures are online still.
Summary of key machines below, some reaching way over estimate others below....Pussy Shooter as below went for £520. All numbers exclude the 24% for fees with vat and of course if people bid online additional 3%.
The Peerless machines were cheap, also the octagonal Mutoscope seemed cheap, but was locked. I was interested in the Brooklands Racer, but felt the estimate was too high, had the jackpot removed as well.
The Electric Crystal Gazer in my opinion had the best presence, looked awesome. The Caille floor standing strength tester looked the part and in very very unrestored condition....
Early Nestle vendor. £680
Doughty and Barrett Racer £6000
Mills bandit £740
United automatic shock machine £480

Re: Reeman Dansie auction
I went to view the collection the day before they went up for sale, as I couldn't be there on the day.
I did however manage to come away with the steam shovel and a few others. Will be picking them up over the next few days...

Re: Reeman Dansie auction
If treefrog would like to contact me, I can put him in touch with the owner of the Brooklin bandit. Spoke on the phone with him this morning described sale as "car crash".
