Scratch built football catcher

Post by treefrog »

Noticed this machine on eBay and at first assumed it was just a box, but someone has gone to a lot of effort trying to get a working catcher machine, even if crude.

I was trying to work out what the right handle arrangement is, as there is a pulley inside and missing a few things....quite like the field play, a little different

Forgot to post this. Another scratch built catcher sold on eBay recently. The seller described it as a prototype, which would surprise me as I would expect a manufacturer to use metal parts for the mechanism. Having said all that, there is something rather quaint about it. It certainly has some age and returns coins on a win. A few others also liked it as it sold for £130.
