Ditchburn Jukeboxes
Ditchburn Jukeboxes
Hi Folks and a very Happy New Year from the Ditchburn Museum and website
i would like to let all the jukebox fans here that we have done a new update at the Ditchburn Website https://www.ditchburn.co.uk/index.htm
just click on "Whats New" on the home page
I was hoping to open the Museum this year but sadly with the current pandemic situation I think it will have to wait until next year, my premises is too small to do social distancing responsibly and I still have some machines to finish restoring and new ones now turning up that also need restoration, and as the project is only funded by myself, i have to do my day job to make it all happen,
The new update is mainly themed around the MK2R 30 play jukebox.
We will have another update very soon which we will open the the Vending section and also lots of downloads of manuals and flyers being added
This Mk2R was custom made for a fashion store in Liverpool and recently resurfaced in all its psychedelic glory
Also keep an eye out for our segment on the new series of the BBCs Antiques Road Trip which should be broadcast this year
and again I wish everyone here a happy new year ,,, and here's a bit of Sheps Banjo Boys on our 1947 Ditchburn Mk2
all the best Dicky Wink ...

Very interesting website dickywink and some lovely looking machines. Is the museum in Lytham St Anne's?

Finally got round to watching it on iplayer! I thought it was a really good interview, most informative and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done. I hope the publicity from the show helps the museum.

Re: Ditchburn Jukeboxes
Hi all,
I will be visiting the museum when open. I bought the 200 selection Panoramic a few weeks ago and been doing a bit of work, although none of my questions have been answered on the forums, I'm doing well. If anyone does know how to set the timer at the rear of the machine, the one with the number dial, I would like to know.

Thanks Guys for the positive comments ...
I really enjoyed it and hopefully another bit of coin op history shared with the world
I also want to shout out to PM and say thankyou for scanning and uploading the vintage vending machines ... again something that is rather overlooked but a big part of the coin op history ... it was amazing to see how many US Juke box manufacturers went into making coffee and cigarette vending machines at that time
Glittering Prize ... hopefully as discussed via email all is working ok now ... enjoy that beautiful Ditchburn machine which is a big part of British Jukebox history
all the best ... Dicky
