What else do you collect?

American, British, French or German? We want to know about it.

What else do you collect?

Post by longbobongo »

I know we all collect old slot machines, allwins, etc.

I'm sure most of us all collect something else too. Thought it would be interesting to find out what other members collect.

For me... it's Neo Geo Aes game cartridges specifically.

first day covers related to the business I was in all my working life, crested china (although I rarely add to the collection these days
BP forgot to include wives and John cant include guns as everyone in the US does that

I read recently that a worldwide study shows that 96% of people who collect specific items are men. Women it seems are rarely collectors, the so-called "experts" say it's a primaeval thing leftover in our male personalities from the hunter /provider days. (does this mean some cavemen had really early clown catchers in their caves?

General US & UK coin-op arcade games from ~1900 through WWII including working models. Post WWII through end of EM era animated lightbox pinball and sports games, also gun games including ones with 4,6,8 track tape players for sound effects. Coin-op music; player violin, player banjo, 1905 multiphone (wax cylinder jukebox), Antique telephones and radios. Finally also 1980's full size animatronics (entertainment and game). My collection outgrew available space several times, so went from filling empty spaces in the house, to converting a garage to game room, and finally to a 2 story aux. building, but I still have room for a few more games, now game room/workshop/garage space is 2-3x living space which seems like a good ratio ;)

Neo Geo Aes - I have had a few Aes consoles and lots of carts over the years but in my opinion nothing beats an Electrocoin Neo Geo MVS Arcade Cabinet complete with 6 slot motherboard and memory card slot. You get a lot more for your money! The only problem is the size of these things and the weight.

Pinball guy. I used to collect Bally Williams '90s pins in 2002. Epic games. And prices are through the roof now. Arcade Warehouse had the most but I bought loads before I was into the older stuff. !!RAYOF!!
