This rare Arcade Machine is known as "DONKEY in the GOLDMINE"...........It was made by Exhibit Supply Co. (circa 1929).

What a great machine to watch in operation. An inserted coin would start the action and a donkey and cart would exit the mine with a fortune card. The donkey would back up to a center cup and dispense the card to the lucky patron.

I once owned one of these fun machines which I acquired under unusual circumstances. I was visiting a warehouse of one of the largest distributors of arcade machines in the U.S.A... The owner sold the DONKEY to me for $100.00 as he did not have any interest in older machines. Ironically, he went on to become one of the largest collectors of coin-ops in America. His Estate sold the collection for over three million dollars... He never did get back his DONKEY.

I wonder if this is where the idea for the Treasure Cave came from.

I mentioned that I "stole" the DONKEY for $100............I should also point out that I also sold many other machines

to the same person for a fraction of today's market values.
How many members have sold machines only to see their prices go thru the roof ??? (SELLER'S REMORSE)

:'( :'( :'( :'( :'( ROGER
