Been away for so long - what's been going on in slot world?
I've been away from here for sometime. I really don't know why, other than life passing me by, 2 lots of Covid, one bout of long Covid, one cancer scare and being diagnosed with a chronic pain issue that I've had for a year and will not get better, thanks to Covid. I worked as key worker all through lockdown in a special school, lost my colleague of 40 years old to Covid at work and sort of spiralled into a depressed state. I sort of lost my mojo and interest in all things I loved, but in the last six months I've really done well and bought myself back up....... So now the depressed bit is over......... I'm back in the room, back in the game.....
I've rekindled my interest in everything I loved, music, vinyl, motor scooters, going out, socialising and hell yeah...............the slots of power. Having trying to remember my username and password, and the email I used, I've just logged back in here.
I realised in my loft eaves I have a machine that I meant to renovate and repair sometime back and forgotten all about it. In my collection I have:
An Aristocrat Arcadian mk1 needing a lot of work,
A jubilee Mk1 Silver Jubilee Club 6d Bandit - All working. I love clockwork. Fetched it out of loft eave and all going strong.
A Vale Yellow and white Roma Beromat style bandit - still working strong.
An Aristocrat Golden Dragon - it's a beauty.
One of Harold English's Rialto Bingolettes. Haven't fired up yet, and one of his other machines which I fail to remember the name of that the electric reel stops have packed up on.
A Japanese Pachislo casino machine - that fires up too.
I've looked online on ebay and the price of all things penny slots have gone really high. Are people paying these prices?
So hi guys. Nice to be back. In a paragraph or six, what you all been up to; what's your collection focus at the moment; what is in vogue?
Cheers and thank you. Malc

Welcome back, Malc. It sounds as though you've had a very rough patch. Glad you're back.

Thank you my friend, yes it was a rough patch, but hopefully I can take on any hiccups now with a breeze. First thing I did today was buy a big bag of uncirculated shiny old pennies off ebay as my wife has said I can install another 1D one arm bandit downstairs in the house. I can feel all the excitement and slots addiction coming back.

Good to see you back Malc.
Sorry to hear it's been rough mate.
I hope the tables have turned now and wish you every good luck.
Get those machines out of your attic and take your wife's offer of another machine in the house. Those permissions don't come along too often!

Great to see you back and firing on all cylinders (even though, if you're like me, the piston rings get a bit leaky over time).

Good to see you back malc and sorry to hear that you have had a rough time. Glad to hear that you have 'brought yourself up', so........... full steam ahead then with all those slots and as bp said, take up the kind offer your wife has made with the bandit!

Thank you all for your kind replies, really appreciate it. As soon as this heat drops down I shall be heading the house eaves to retrieve another bandit to go downstairs. Just got 5 shillings worth of old uncirculated pennies still in a bank bag turn up from an ebay charity seller for a bargain £3.00. Plenty of food for the second bandit.
