National penny scale

Post by davmic »

Hi, Thanks for accepting me in this group. I am interested in buying a National scale from the US. It have the coin mechanism missing. Do you think it will be hard to find a replacement part for it ? Thanks

I would be interested in buying the machine on the left if anyone knows where the penny goes.

I don't think it would be hard to make the missing parts. There is nothing complex in there as far as the coins are concerned. Are you in the UK? If so, the shipping is going to cost you on that. If you're in the USA I can give you the contact details of the man to ask about replacement parts.

They weigh an absolute ton and if the keys are missing, it's probably full of old pennies in the bottom. I seem to remember on this forum somebody getting hold of one and it was a treasure trove of old copper.
