French Horse racer stateside

Post by treefrog »

Another stateside machine, not sure about the claimed 19th centruy period, but I assume this is French, "given the obvious sticker on it", but I was not clear with the winning 75c 50c etc whether these were centimes or cents (of course Canada could cover both).....Looks like a nice machine and as the seller states well made,
Anyone know much about these?

An identical machine to this, although in better condition, was sold as part of the Bernard Pansu collection in November, 2004. The game was identified as "PMU, Bussoz, France, 1935."

The 75c 50c, etc. refer to French cents, i.e. - Centimes.

It looks very nice but I like the ones where there are cast horses spinning 'round.

The link is not valid any more as I changed my website pages but as I don't know if I am allowed to give the new one on this pages ...

This machine is missing few things : the little horses heads above the coin entries, the name plate " paris-turf ", there is a part missing in the mechanism, the cabinet is in acajou and in poor condition ! the guy wants 1200$ ... and is desperately trying to sell it since months... really not worth that !
