Homemade Allwin payout mechanism

Post by rattitude »

Because my precious Allwin was missing its payout mechanism, I had to make my own.
Ta-da! %|%
You'll see that I melted the aluminium coin hopper with my semi-inept brazing skills, but here it is.
Works like a charm.
The first picture is an original that I used as a model.

Very good, where did you obtain a tube of the correct diameter?

Thanks for all the feedback. I simply could not have built this without all of the help I received here.
It was such a fun part of the project that several other ongoing projects had to wait in the wings.
The tube is standard 1.5" OD aluminum tubing. The OD is larger than an original because I couldn't get any std stock with thinner walls. The ID matches the original, however.
The main body is 1/4" thick aluminum angle with a 2" side and a 3" side.
The rest is standard 1/8" bar stock.
I'm lucky to be in the neighborhood of onlinemetals.com. Great company, great service, great prices.
Thanks again!

Hi.

I see these posts is a little bit old, but hope you guys are still here. I really need a payout mechanism to my Allwin Strike. Do anyone have that, or maybe can make one? :)
Really liked the one you made Rattitude, and would love to get one to my machine. Can't find it anywhere on the internet or in Norway where I live.

Hi slotman and welcome to the forum.

Best thing you can do first is to post photos of your Allwin inside and out so we can see exactly what's missing.

Thanx, looks like a nice forum :)

Here are some pics of the machine inside and out. Looks like its just the payout mechanism that is missing.

OK , your machine was made by the now defunct Nostalgic Machines. Their entire stock was bought out by one of our members of this forum. I suspect he has now disposed of everything.

However as you correctly point out you are missing ....
the payout tube.
the payout slide and mounting.
the slide arm.

You should really put a wanted advert in The Market section, please follow this link to register and place your advert (for free) Click Here
Please confirm which coin size you need so forum members can see if any spares they may have/wish to sell would suffice.

Best of luck
