Many thanks to one of our key contributors on here for tipping me off about The BDR , it was on eBay and miss described having been placed under something obscure like "Heavy lump of metal with badge BDR" It literally had a few hours to run with no bids.

Lovely machines there badpenny, looks like Allan's visit today was Xmas and Birthday all in 1.

As well as delivering slot machines, Allan other main clients are Rocking horse manufacturers !

Nice machines BP and the BDR is the super jackpot version, looks very tidy.

I have a Columbia, one of the few small bandits I own and like, as I don’t like QT’s the main alternative. I am sure this has been raised on here before, but what is the little button for next to the jackpot, not something that is on my machine

The plunger by the jackpot is an override device in case the jackpot fail to drop on a win. You push the plunger to release the jackpot, this only works if a j/p has been attained. Hope this answers your question.

Useful addition, many three reelers with a jack pot would benefit from that. Three on the line occur so rarely that they forget what to do.

Never seen anything like this on other machines and obviously was not installed on all Columbia models, so either they had a flawed design with a retro fit or some other reason. Occasionally you get issues on other manufacturer machines version where a poor coin position can jam the drop plates, maybe they had an answer to this....
