It certainly bears the hallmarks of an OW allwin yankie, although the backflash looks to be home-made. Any interior photos of the mech?

Would be nice to restore to a "Win a Gum" or similar.

Yes Wales that was revamped later on and almost certainly sold in the early 1970s by Jim Broderick to be retailed from the Akron chain of import stores in California. John Peterson sold me a bunch of these all done by the same hand as this. You'll be able to get close to the original model, as the payout slides are cast with the name of product dispensed. None had the original backflashes surviving, though a couple had the marquee signs hiding behind the white plastic on mine.
Every machine pictured here carried the gold Broderick Auto decal. They all had brass circular serial number tags screwed to the backs so had come from the same operator before Broderick i think, and all had been converted to work free play by Akron so as to fit into the the then illegal nature of gambling machines in California.

Ahh, the good old days of machine collecting JP, getting paid by your wife into one hand to make this lot go away, only to hand the cash back to you minutes later to "purchase" them, and everyone walked happy...... :HaHa:
