Sega lighting question

Post by phan000 »

Hello,

Have a Sega Mad Money that has a loose fluorescent tube.

Have been told it mounts on the escalator. Could anyone post a photo of their machine with the light in place?

Also looking for a manual so I can tune this machine up.

Thanks!

Here's a photo I have to hand. I think it mounts from the reel surround casting rather than the escalator but will check again when I can access the machine.

Thanks for the photo.

I still can’t see exactly where it mounts.

If you could get a close photo, it would be greatly appreciated!

My addled brain seems to think a strip of aluminium secured with a self tapper to the case. And a spring clip pop rivetted to each end to hold the tube is what's usually found.

Phan. I was the one who replied to you, on the C O C F. On the ones I've had, there is a strip of metal that screws to a 'tag' on the bottom of the escalator, with clips like BP posted, on either end.
Would be easy to make something up, if it's missing.

Still a bit puzzled, apologies for being a bit thick ;)

So the lamp is the same width as the other bulbs that light the award glass.

The tombstone ends of the lamp have a mounting bracket, but with the bulb installed, they seem too wide.

Thinking the bulb attaches forward of the bracket with the yellow arrows?

My two lightups have a smaller width tube installed in this position.

I cannot sort a picture as it's high up in racking and I cannot move it for pictures.

I finally got it straightened out- was a tiny 150 mm T5 tube.

Lights up the escalator coins and reels perfectly.

Thanks for the help!
